This Cookie Policy explains how Let's Go Bear ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at letsgobear.com and our application at app.letsgobear.com (together, "the Service"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device on return visits and remember your preferences. We also use browser local storage, which works similarly but stores data locally in your browser without an expiry date unless explicitly cleared.
Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (remaining on your device for a set period or until you delete them). They can be set by us ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services we use ("third-party cookies").
We keep our use of cookies minimal. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies, or any cookies that build profiles of you across other websites. The cookies and local storage we use fall into two categories:

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising networks, or any other third-party tracking technologies. Our hosting provider, Vercel, may collect anonymised technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) as part of serving the Service — this is covered in our Privacy Policy.
When you sign in using Google ("Sign in with Google"), Google may set its own cookies on your device as part of the authentication process. These are governed by Google's Privacy Policy and are outside our control. We do not receive or store those cookies.
We do not embed social media widgets, third-party video players, advertising scripts, or any other external content that would set additional cookies on our pages.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Here is how to do so in the most common browsers:
Please note that blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies will affect the functionality of the Service. Specifically, deleting authentication cookies will sign you out and you will need to sign in again. Clearing local storage will reset your onboarding status and you will see the welcome walkthrough on your next visit.
You can also clear local storage for our site directly: in most browsers, open Developer Tools (F12), go to Application → Local Storage, and delete the pawport_onboarded entry for our domain.
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies and one functional local storage item, we do not display a cookie consent banner. Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. Our use of local storage for functional purposes is proportionate and clearly disclosed in this policy.
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (such as analytics), we will update this policy and implement appropriate consent mechanisms before doing so.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we introduce new features that use cookies. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service or by email where appropriate.
